Melania plans Trump's first state dinner

During a cyber safety discussion at the White House in March, Trump spoke with a group of tech company leaders, including Twitter, Facebook, Google and Snaphat, acknowledging the skepticism she faced when announcing her plan to tackle cyber-bullying.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders chastised the Washington Post on Monday for reporting a rumor that first lady Melania Trump resides with her parents in the suburbs of Washington, D.C.

The first lady will "highlight the importance of using social media and the internet in positive ways", her office said, pointing to a study that claims children who spend more time on new media are more likely to report mental health issues than those who spend time on other activities.

"Mrs. Trump wants to help the following generation by developing change as a result of awareness on a variety of issues that impact children".

The first lady made headlines for her compassionate reaction when one of the children accidentally spilled his drink.

Mrs. Trump's announcement also came as her husband remains under intense legal pressure from a special counsel's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and is facing questions over $130,000 in hush money paid by one of his attorneys to a porn actress who says she had sex with Trump in 2006.

GOP-led panel absolves president of Russian Federation collusion
The House panel did find that Russian Federation sought to sow discord in the United States through cyberattacks and social media. The committee also did not agree with assessments that Russian President Vladimir Putin preferred Trump to Hillary Clinton.

The part of 1st lady, when it comes of giving birth to a formal, branded stage, is marginally undefined.

Of course, if the White House truly wants to deal with cyberbullying, it should first lead by example.

Mrs. Trump has a 12-year-old son, Barron, and has expressed her interest in children through numerous visits to hospitals and schools.

Grisham adds that the first lady will concentrate her initiative on the range of issues children face as they grow up and will not tailor it to a single topic. "Melania, your care and compassion for our nation's children, and I have to say this, and I say to all the time, inspires us all". Trump confessed for the first time her aim to move forward with the topic, regardless of what could possibly be viewed as hypocrisy. Her choice was ridiculed nearly immediately, given her husband's longtime habit of calling people names on Twitter, but Mrs. Trump said the criticism wouldn't discourage her from doing what she thinks is right.

"This is something that is extremely important to the first lady", Sanders replies. "I've now been criticized for my own devotion to handling this issue and I know will last".
