This will likely make Gmail easier to load and use, and will also bring new features to the popular open email platform. These features will be an vast help to businesses that want more control over how emails are used by recipients. Among the more intriguing-sounding innovations: a "Confidential Mode" that keeps email protected by not allowing the recipient to forward it, cut and paste from it, print from it, or download it, per TechCrunch-though more than one source points out there's nothing stopping someone from simply taking a picture of the email, either via a computer screenshot or with a camera. New design and features will be added in this update along with the ability to reply fast to emails, to snooze emails until later, and a new sidebar to place calendar appointments side by side with messages.

However, the most exciting feature of all might be a new "Confidential Mode" revealed by reports on Friday. Gmail's web interface hasn't changed in years - you can probably expect a new interface that follows Google's Material design language.

According to leaked images, the confidential mode will work even with third-party email clients like "ProtonMail". However, that doesn't seem to stop Google, as the company is now going beyond the POP3/IMAP/SMTP protocols. The recipient will not be able to take a print out of this email or can not copy/paste the content as well.

Indiana Pacers: How to watch, listen to the NBA Playoffs
Myles Turner's importance in this series should not be understated either, being one of the premier shot blockers in the league. For starters, he's a flawless 12-0 in first round series, tying an National Basketball Association record (Shaquille O'Neal).

An expiration date can also be set so that the email "self-destructs" at a configurable time. Upholding the claim of a businessman referred to as NT2, he judge said the "crime and punishment information" in his case "has become out of date, irrelevant and of no sufficient legitimate interest to users of Google Search to justify its continued availability, so that an appropriate delisting order should be made". Those that receive a confidentially configured message have to follow a link to access it and sign in to their account again.

While Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Oracle are viewed as the major contenders for the job, Google's employees have voiced concern about creating products for the US government. The message behind the link disappears after some time, but this doesn't mean that the intermediate email also disappears.

Google is implementing smart replies for Gmail on the web, the same feature from mobile Gmail that provides suggestions to quickly reply to emails. Enter your email to be subscribed to our newsletter.
