SnapChat is Releasing Special AR Lenses for iPhone X Users

Snapchat Lenses

You should be able to use the lenses when you're offered the chance to update Snapchat. The TrueDepth Camera uses company's own Facial Recognition technology which records your facial expressions and will work accordingly. The lenses include a Day of the Dead skull, a Mardi Gras-esque mask, and a gold-plated eye cover.

Sadly, it's impossible for Snapchat to add these high-quality filters to older iPhone models.

Apple has introduced their new iPhone X with new TrueDepth Camera.

But they'll only appear in the latest version of the app for you if you've got Apple's £999 iPhone X. Right now there are only three iPhone X exclusive lenses and what makes these lenses unique is the fact that they will leverage the iPhone X's TrueDepth camera system.

The new Lenses are created to reflect surrounding light in a more realistic manner and add a touch of blur to the background, Snap said. The new iPhone X-exclusive filters, first announced by Apple during the initial announcement of the iPhone X back in September 2017.

Sessions: US prosecutor reviewing GOP complaints against Federal Bureau of Investigation
While we continue to believe the appointment of a second Special Counsel is necessary, this is a step in the right direction. Sessions also noted that he had directed the department's inspector general, Michael E.

It only took six months, but Snapchat's new augmented reality face lenses that work specifically with the iPhone X are finally live.

This lens puts slaps a bejeweled mask encrusted with diamonds on your face and a flower crown on your head. The same will provide you more realistic graphics on to your face and the masks will look more natural compared to other lenses for different devices.

The carnival mask looks the most impressive, easily fooling any friends you send it to that you've gone and had your face painted for some unknown reason. Snap said they reflect the surrounding light better, and that it blurs the background in these lenses in order to play up details and 3D objects.

There have been questions in the past about how much of the data from facial mapping app developers have access to, but Apple is stating that there won't be access to the Face ID information that can identify the user, just the advanced facial mapping that allows for new features like this.
