Russian Federation test-fires 'invincible' ICBM 'Satan 2'

Vladimir Putin

"The test was carried out at the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, [a] spaceport in the west of Russian Federation".

Russian Federation tested its new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Friday as tensions continued to soar between Moscow and the West.

The missile was one of several advanced Russian weapons President Vladimir Putin promoted in his state-of-the-nation address in early March.

Dozens of Russian diplomats were expelled this week from consulates in the USA and Britain, followed closely by the reciprocal closure of a us consulate in St. Petersberg.

The missile test comes as Russia seeks to explain the poisoning of an ex-Russian spy on British soil earlier this month with a Soviet-linked nerve agent that has resulted in a near-complete breakdown of relations between the United Kingdom and Russia, while the US has firmly supported the U.K.'s response.

The first such drop test was conducted last December. If these capabilities are accurate, it could make the Kinzhal hard to intercept by anti-missile systems.

So we'll see what happens. "We are very hopeful and confident that we will have everybody back when it counts". The Golden State Warriors are going to be without Steph Curry for a little while longer.

Putin has made much of developing such "invincible" systems as a counter to costly United States missile defense programs.

President Putin unveiled a suite of other weapons during his speech, including a supersonic weapon that can not be tracked by anti-missile systems.

He said the "hypersonic Sarmat ICBM [intercontinental ballistic missile is] capable of outmaneuvering any existing missile defense".

"Any use of nuclear weapons against Russian Federation or its allies, be it small-scale, medium-scale or any other scale, will be treated as a nuclear attack on our country", Putin said. Russian Federation abandoned talks over the new missile defense system in November that year after they accused the USA of refusing to guarantee that the defense system will not be used against Russian Federation.

Putin also boasted of Russia's "modern, compact and high-tech army".
