Israeli PM Netanyahu taken to hospital: media reports

Tel Aviv. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was discharged from hospital in Jerusalem on Tuesday after being admitted with a case of "high fever", his office said, reported AFP.

"The tests showed a mild viral illness in the upper respiratory tract", a statement from the Israeli prime minister's office said later on Tuesday.

According to his office, he was taken to hospital in his auto and not in an ambulance.

A spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the leader has been taken to hospital for tests following an illness.

Netanyahu fell ill in mid-March and cancelled his public schedule for five consecutive days.

Villanova downs West Virginia, 90-78, in Sweet 16
Graham's offensive rebound after a Svi Mykhailiuk miss at the 1:57 mark allowed the Jayhawks to run nearly a minute off the clock. Both of these teams play zone defense the whole game and both teams should be taking their fair share of three point shots.

His personal physician, Dr. Berkowitz, said that he believes the prime minister's symptoms from an illness he was suffering two weeks ago may have worsened due to not completing the period of rest required for recovery.

Netanyahu has described Jerusalem as "the capital of the Jewish people for 3,000 years", and Trump said the embassy move was "a long overdue step to advance the peace process".

Netanyahu has been battling a slew of corruption allegations in recent months, and police have recommended he be indicted on charges related to two cases.

Netanyahu has undergone hours of questioning by police regarding a number of corruption investigations.
