Pakistan envoy returns to India, says wants to sort out harassment issue

Pakistan Day marks adoption of the historic Lahore Resolution in 1940 that provided a framework for a separate homeland for Muslims in the Indian subcontinent.

He also stressed that efforts to curb terrorism should continue so that achievements made so far could be further strengthened.

New-appointed air chief, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, flew a fighter jet followed by several other squadrons of the Pakistan Air Force as a salute to the head of the state.

Ambassador also thanked the friends of Pakistan in particular the UAE who always stood by it in hard times and contributed to its development.

The other who witnessed the event include Pakistan's Defence Minister Khurrum Dastagir, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Navy Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi and Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee Zubair Mehmood Hayat. Around 2,000 military and police personnel were deployed.
