Apple Announces Education Event in Chicago

Apple is seen at a store in Zurich Switzerland
It's an unusual locale for Apple as the company typically hosts media events closer to home in California. The invitation has just a stylized Apple logo with a calligraphy or script feel, plus the hand written tag line and an added note stating we'll see "creative new ideas for teachers and students".
Today, Apple sent invitations out to members of the press about an event that will be held at Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago.
Apple declined to talk about the event. Apple generally is pretty reserved when it comes to releasing information regarding upcoming products or events outside of the official announcements and conferences.
Apple snuck in a little Friday surprise with an unexpected invite to a March 27 event.
While this Apple education event is an exciting development in the world of technology, it's far from the first foray the company has made into the world of education. A new iPad with Apple's high-end camera, which enables FaceID, Animoji, and ARKit features, may debut later this year.
We'll find out sooner than later, as we're less than two weeks away from Apple's "field trip". Apple's last education event took place all the way back in 2012 in New York City. The Apple iPad devices also feature Swift Playgrounds, which acts as a code education platform.
Tiger Woods misses Valspar Championship by one stroke
A highly charged PGA Tour event ended with one player ending a long victory drought, just not the one most fans came to see. Per Harig, Woods is in his best position to win a tournament since he tied for 10th at the 2015 Wyndham Championship.
