Final Fantasy 15 on PC lets you play as Half-Life's Gordon Freeman
In a blog post made to their official website, Square Enix revealed the latest port for Final Fantasy XV will offer cross-play between PC and Xbox One via its online mode, Comrades. The pack features the HEV suit Gordon Freeman wore in Half-Life 2, along with his signature crowbar and scientist glasses to boot.
Those who purchase Final Fantasy 15 Windows Edition before May 1 will be granted the freshly-announced Half-Life Pack. Both lead character Noctis, and your Comrades multiplayer avatar can equip the items.
The Windows Edition will launch alongside Final Fantasy 15:Royal Edition for PS4 and Xbox One on March 6, 2018.
Square Enix is no stranger to offering bonus content for its games, and that focus has definitely held true for Final Fantasy 15. We've known for a while that the Steam release of XV will allow mods and will let your moral judgment as a gamer prevail for what mods to install, but if you want Noct to look like Gordon Freeman, you've got until May 1 to pick up the PC version.
Players who pre-order the game from the Microsoft Store will receive the bonus "FFXV Powerup Pack", containing Dodanuki, a sleek sword created by a legendary bladesmith that reduces enemy defense with each slash.
The save data from the Windows 10 version of FF XV is compatible with the Xbox One version.
The trailer highlights some of the features introduced into Final Fantasy XV for high-spec PC players.
All three platforms will have a demo available on February 26, which will let you play the entirety of the game's first chapter before the full version launches the following week.
