Senate Republican report alleges Federal Bureau of Investigation bias against Trump

Rep. Peter King: The FBI Duped FISA Court to Obtain Warrants Against Trump Officials

The two officials now at issue - senior Federal Bureau of Investigation lawyer Lisa Page and senior Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Peter Strzok - have been targets of conservative ire for months.

The latest text messages between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page show one exchange that references former President Obama in relation to the Clinton email investigation.

Texts by two key investigators include discussions about an "insurance policy" against the "risk" of a Trump presidency, "unfinished business" and "an investigation leading to impeachment".

Likely germane to this line of questioning is whether then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe was responsible for withholding the information from Comey or whether Comey's letter to Congress misrepresented the timeline regarding the Weiner-Abedin-Clinton tranche of emails and when the FBI acted on those emails.

The text messages have become a focal point of congressional Republicans' investigation into whether the FBI is biased against Trump and gave Clinton more favourable treatment in its investigation of her private email use.

According to the Senate report, certain text messages raise questions about when FBI officials learned of emails relevant to the Hillary Clinton email investigation on the laptop belonging to Weiner, the husband to Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

California Teacher Facing Backlash Over Anti-Military Rant
The Quinonezes were expected to meet with school officials Monday in hope of ensuring the safety of Victor and his siblings. Salcido also happens to be a city council member in this small So Cal community, and now city leaders may take action.

"It certainly warrants investigation, and it certainly brings into a new perspective that there's this idea from President Obama that there was no political influence at the top levels of the FBI", Jordan said on Fox & Friends on Wednesday. The Strzok-Page texts included in the appendix continue long after the probe was closed for the second time, with the very last one dated June 25, 2017.

The September 2, 2016 text message was among more 50,000 texts the pair sent during a two-year extramarital affair.

A lawyer for Strzok declined to comment, and a lawyer for Page could not be reached. He said the timing of the message indicates it may have been about the Clinton emails or the Russian Federation inquiry and would be "pretty darned significant" in either case.

It had no proof that the FBI is biased against Trump, no proof of abuse of surveillance powers by the FBI, and no proof that the investigation into the Trump campaign's ties to Russian Federation is fundamentally flawed.

Comey announced in July 2016 that he had cleared Clinton of criminal wrongdoing in the email probe, saying that 'we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues meant to violate laws governing the handling of classified information'.

Other texts sent on Election Day 2016 show the lovers' disdain toward Mr. Trump. "Now I need to fix it and finish it". The Daily Caller ran a similar story, but edited it later after reviewing the texts, saying it's not clear which investigation the agents are referring to.
