The Algeria worldwide did not show up for training on Friday after he failed to secure a move to Manchester City on transfer deadline day.

One former Premier League star has explained why Riyad Mahrez actually deserves respect for taking a stand against Leicester City.

Mahrez has not trained since the possibility of a deal with the Premier League leaders materialised earlier in the week, and having not attended Thursday's session, he was again missing on Friday.

Leicester leave Riyad Mahrez out of squad as he 'clears his head´.

Leicester City boss Claude Puel suggests that the Foxes may find it hard to manage the ongoing situation with Riyad Mahrez.

"Riyad is not available for this game".

It is understood that the 26-year-old Algeria global is feeling so low that he is not in the right frame of mind to play.

Five generations of von Pfeffels later, a Marie Luise von Pfeffel married Stanley Fred Williams and had a daughter named Yvonne. While that clearly did more harm than good, the high levels of mercury in her system are what caused her body to be preserved.

"Just about Riyad, I think the club took this decision in the best interests of Leicester".

"It's a situation we need to manage but the rest of it will stay inside the club".

"He would have made [Manchester] City better and stronger", Murphy said, "I think with the injuries they've got he'd have gone straight in [to the team]".

He added: "I will assess Riyad when he's cleared his head".

'There is talk of him being fined for failing to show up for training, but I know - from personal experience - how galling it can be when your heart lies elsewhere in football.

"For Riyad, he can clear his head and he can come back with us because he is a very big player for us", said Puel.

Manchester City withdrew their interest after refusing to meet Leicester's asking price, leaving the Algeria global facing an uncertain future at the King Power stadium.
