Will Ferrell Interrupts Roger Federer Interview, Goes Full Ron Burgundy

Berdych blasts his way into last eight

Roger Federer vs Marton Fucsovics Australian Open 2018 Preview

Hollywood superstar Will Ferrell is in Melbourne for the Australian Open and after conducting a hilarious interview with Roger Federer on Tuesday night, the Anchorman star held his own press conference at Melbourne Park today.

The Anchorman star asked Roger Federer some freaky questions at the Australian Open.

"Ron would probably tell Jim to be a little more inebriated in his postmatch interviews", he said.

"I was a bit scared", Federer joked. The 27-year-old German defeated South Korea's Kwon Soon-woo in the first round to set up a clash against Federer.

And given the 36-year-old has now played 1383, not to mention exhibitions, that's quite a lot.

World number two Roger Federer is afraid of Will Ferrell, according to the star actor.

It's not entirely sure why Ferrell is in Australia (vacation aside), however it has been reported his production company is working alongside local SVOD provider STAN on a related project.

From there, the awkward chat covered everything from wombat meat, (which Federer denied eating), through to his name and age. I saw him when I started the match, then I totally forgot he sat there. That's when he walked out onto centre court.

RF: "They remind me of my name, it's good". It was nice to have a Hollywood presence here in Melbourne in combination with the tennis.

"You know he can serve 215-220 km/h no problem for five hours, that's what you are ready for and I knew he was going to go for his shots".

"I played flawless tennis".

The player generally considered the greatest ever might well get some special treatment, but unless Tennis Australia decides to convert every outside court into an air-conditioned arena, someone has to fearless the heat. "Is that true?" he asked.

"I've maybe said a few too many things sometimes, but I try to be honest". I just want Will and his weird sense of humor to be a more frequent presence in the culture. "He stood there, didn't look at me, just was like focusing on the questions". I am happy to stay in the same routine.
