President Trump Tweets That DACA Is 'Probably Dead'

Federal Judge Relies on Presidential Tweets to Block DACA Phase Out and Prevent Job Losses
In a second tweet a few minutes later, he wrote: "I, as President, want people coming into our Country who are going to help us become strong and great again, people coming in through a system based on MERIT. No more Lotteries! #AMERICA FIRST", the president tweeted Sunday.
He said Democrats "don't really want [DACA]", but just want to take "desperately needed money away" from the military. Government funding expires midnight Friday without a deal in place, and some government functions will begin to go dark.
Trump's "shithole countries" remarks were confirmed by Senator Dick Durbin, a Democrat who attended the White House meeting, after it was reported by the Washington Post and other media.
After hearing Allsup's decision, the White House strongly condemned what some may say is judicial overreach.

Lawmakers are trying to combine some form of relief for DACA immigrants along with enhanced border security, including a wall along the Mexican border, sought by Trump. Trump's staunchest supporters consider any route to citizenship for the "Dreamers" amnesty for lawbreakers.
Critics accused Trump of racism for using the vulgarity and suggesting the United States should allow immigrants from European countries such as Norway, whose prime minister he met Wednesday. Some Democrats insist that the DACA question be addressed by then.
Rep. Mia Love, R-Utah, the first black female Republican in Congress and the daughter of Haitian immigrants, denounced Trump's comments as racist and called on him to apologize.
"I still think that he should apologize", she said on CNN's "State of the Union".
David Perdue, Republicans who've been close allies to the President on the issue of immigration, were also in the meeting but issued a carefully worded statement after Trump tweeted Friday morning that the description of his remarks was not accurate. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., were mistaken in indicating earlier that that was the case.
"We do not recall the president saying these comments specifically, but what he did call out was the imbalance in our current immigration system, which does not protect American workers and our national interest", the statement said. Cotton said Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation" that he "didn't hear" the vulgar word used. Trump later declared "the language used by me at the DACA meeting [Thursday] was tough, but this was not the language used".
"I don't believe the Democrats really want to see a deal on DACA".
A bipartisan group of Republican and Democratic senators have been working on a compromise, even announcing last week they had reached a tentative agreement on a bill that would include border security.
