Roy Moore accuser Tina Johnson 'loses everything' after home burns down in suspected arson
No one was hurt in the fire (no one was home), but Johnson said she and her family had lost everything they owned.
Authorities are conducting an arson investigation.
"We have just the clothes on our backs", she told the website.
"The ongoing investigation does not lead us to believe that the fire is in any way related to Roy Moore or allegations made against him", the Etowah County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
"I am devastated, just devastated", Johnson told Al.com on Friday morning. Johnson said the young man asked a neighbor if she thought the house was "going to burn".
The allegations by Johnson and the other women helped sink the far-right Republican's campaign for a seat that was won by Doug Jones, the first Alabama Democrat elected to the Senate in a quarter century. A suspect of interest is being spoken to. Moore grabbed her buttocks during a child custody petition meeting in his Gadsden office in 1991, Johnson claimed. "But there have been no charges, to my knowledge, related to the fire at this time".
"He's been trouble in the neighborhood for a while", Tallant said.
Multiple neighbors witnessed a young man known for public intoxication walking around the house during the time of the fire.
Defeated U.S. Senate candidate RoyMoore's wife has identified the "Jewish" attorney she referred to at a campaign rally. "I guess I'm ashamed I didn't say nothing, didn't turn around and slap him". "I hope they build back there".
'He didn't pinch it; he grabbed it, ' she said at the time.
