Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and party legislator from Dalhouise Asha Kumari was booked for hurting a woman cop publicly as the legislator was trying to enter Congress head office Rajeev Bhavan here on Friday to attend party review meeting without showing the entry pass.

However, it was not like any other usual incident of politicians assaulting police personnel and this time Asha Kumari messed up with a wrong lady who slapped her right back on the face. The "slapgate" happened even as Congress president Rahul Gandhi had reached the office to take stock of the party's defeat in the recent assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh.

Someone else will play the new boss, according to the report, with a search for the actor to play the part reportedly now underway.

Blaming the PCC for mismanagement at the party's office gate, Kumari added, "I can only blame myself for the unsavoury incident". Such a rare instance was seen today in Shimla where Congress MLA Asha Kumari thought it normal to slap a woman police constable. He said he was not happy with the way Asha Kumari reacted as it was against Congress culture. I am her mother's age... but yes, I agree I should not have lost my temper. "So far I have not made any complaints", she said. However, the matter did not end there as the woman constable also slapped the Congress MLA.

In a spontaneous reaction, the constable too slapped Asha, which left the MLA perturbed. A miffed Rahul told party leaders that he did not appreciate such behaviour. The party managed to bag just 21 seats out of 68, while the BJP won 44 seats.
