TGA 2017 Soul Calibur 6 Announced Watch the Trailer Now
Heading SoulCalibur VI is Tekken 7 producer Motohiro Okubo, as well, which will provide an interesting touch to a highly anticipated game.
The Soul Calibur franchise has been the premier 3D weapon-based fighting series since the original Soul Blade released in arcades in 1995. It eventually made its way to SEGA's Dreamcast console and became one of that platform's most popular games. There's little information beyond a single teaser trailer, although we do know that the game will at least be headed to PC for the first time. Soulcalibur VI marks a new era of the historic franchise and its legendary struggle between the mighty Soul Swords!
The trailer features combat with two of the game's mainstays: the Samurai Mitsurugi and the Athenian warrior Sophitia. Classic characters like Mitsurugi and Sophitia are rendered at a level never before seen in the series.
Intense 1 v 1 fighting gameplay, a range of different characters, and vastly different weapon types makes for a grand experience in every Soul Calibur title. With 2018 nearly here, expect more "Soul Calibur 6" details to be revealed soon.
