President Trump on Roy Moore: 'He totally denies it'
Spokespeople for Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore denied the allegations against the candidate at an event on Tuesday, refusing to answer questions as women come forward about Moore's past.
"I've looked at his record - it's bad on crime, it's awful on the border, it's awful on the military", Trump said of Moore's Democratic opponent, former U.S. Attorney Doug Jones.
The Republican National Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee have pulled their support for Mr Moore's campaign ahead of the December 12 special election to fill the seat once held by Republican Jeff Sessions, now the United States attorney general.
"Roy Moore denies it, that's all I can say", President Trump said. He totally denies hit.
Young said he had advised Moore not to lend credence to the questions either and dismissed the allegations - which range from inappropriate behavior to pursuing teenage girls while he was past the age of 30 to sexual assault - as "Jerry Springer stuff".
Trump said he would tell reporters next week whether he planned to campaign with Moore. He's run eight races and this has never come up. "I just want everybody to know Doug Jones". Luther Strange (R-AL). Bannon endorsed and campaigned for Moore, who ended up thumping Strange.
Trump's Tuesday remarks put space between him and the Republican establishment, which has backed away from Moore.
A 30-second ad released by Doug Jones' campaign quoted Ivanka Trump as saying, "There's a special place in hell for people who prey on children ..." That's all I can say, he denies it. Weak on borders. He is strong on raising your taxes.
When asked if Trump would be campaigning, Conway said there was "no plan to do that" but didn't explicitly shut down the possibility. "He is awful for property owners". White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders has said the administration's position is that all of Trump's accusers are lying.
Roy Moore speaks during a campaign event at Walker Springs Road Baptist Church in Jackson, Alabama, on November 14, 2017. The October 2016 release of the "Access Hollywood" tape revealed that Trump bragged in in 2005 that he could grope and forcibly kiss women without their consent.
