Reddit user darus214 revealed the issue in a thread this week, writing: 'I've noticed that my iPhone X screen becomes very unresponsive as soon as I step outside.

But it's certainly nice to hear Apple is on top of things, even though technically we have no timeline for the "upcoming software update", which may or may not coincide with an iOS 11.1.2 maintenance effort. First is the autocorrect bug that's causing some devices to replace "i" with "A [?]", and second is a bug that makes the "Hey Siri" hotword stop working.

Ever since iOS 11.1 came out a week ago, many iPhone users complained about the glitch that automatically replaced a lower case "i" with unusual characters in their pithy texts and social media posts. "This will be addressed in an upcoming software update".

According to Apple, its iOS devices perform best between 0º and 35º C (32º to 95º F) temperatures, but some users who are experiencing this issue have seen the screen problems within these temperature parameters. "After several seconds the screen will become fully responsive again", Apple said in a statement. Apple says the issue happens when temperatures drop suddenly, and the firm is working on a fix.

Mariah Carey accused of sexual harassment
That Mariah Carey is not the head of the most pleasant in the world, with its employees, it does not seem too hard to imagine. The draft complaint also states that he was promised another two year deal which would have earned him $511,000 (£389,000).

'Using an iOS device in very cold conditions outside of its operating range might temporarily shorten battery life and could cause the device to turn off. It also appears that the problem isn't consistent, with some having the issue, while others aren't.

An online discussion forum on Apple's website includes comments from people affected by the bug.

IOS 11.1.1 has just been released, and it comes with a small but important update - a fix for the odd autocorrect bug in iOS 11.1 that has been automatically changing the letter "I" to "A [?]" for some users.
