Apple's next iPad will steal the iPhone X's best features
The slimmer bezels and addition of Face ID is already expected to increase the price of these tablets, but unless Apple introduces some more OLED manufacturers to the table, we don't believe that we will be seeing them in larger-display products anytime soon.
As per the reports, the new generation of iPad will feature the same screen size like the previous 10.5-inch iPad Pro, however, this time the device will feature a bunch of new features including the Face ID on it. According to a newBloomberg report, the company's planning a "comeback" moment with a redesigned device for launch next year.
Similar to the iPhone X, the newiPads could have edge-to-edge glass due to the lack of home button. Year-to-date, AAPL has gained 54.06%, versus a 17.57% rise in the benchmark S&P 500 index during the same period. If the upcoming new iPad model turns out to be as impressive as the iPhone X, it is very likely that the iPad sales will start growing again, resulting in higher revenues.
The iPad business used to be a huge profit driver for Apple, but revenue has fallen as overall tablet sales have declined in the past few years.
To make sure the new iPad comes with enough changes to make it interesting, we hear that Apple also plans to give it a new processor and an updated graphics adapter, next to an updated Apple Pencil stylus and new software tools for it. This move follows in step with the iPhone X, which has seen success, both critically and commercially, thanks to its refreshed design, improved performance and future-looking feature set.
We could expect to see the revolutionary 3D facial recognition feature on the next iPad. The new iPad is planned to be equipped with Face ID for unlocking the device, sending emojis and making payments, just like the iPhone X.
