19 September 2017, 12:57 | Katrina Lee
While Ryanair said those whose flights were cancelled would get full refunds or alternative flights - the move has angered hundreds of passengers.
It is believed that up to 9,000 passengers a day could be affected by the cancellations, with the airline admitting that it had "messed up" the planning of pilot holidays.
Des Manning told KCLR Live they've been busy fielding calls about it and thankfully haven't had any of their customers affected yet.
The budget airline is under pressure to publish a full list of the flights it plans to cancel over the next six weeks as customers have become increasingly angry.
Ryanair has apologised for the disruption caused to passengers and said it was "working hard to fix" the problems, but that there will be a 2 per cent reduction in its 2,500 daily scheduled flights until the end of October.
On Friday, the airline blamed a combination of air traffic control delays, bad weather and a backlog in pilots' and cabin crew holiday for the cancellations.
Firstly, the company changed its holiday year from January to December rather than April to March.
Kiely added that by cancelling flights until Ryanair's winter schedule starts in early November, the carrier can restore punctuality to a target of 90 percent. Some 162 flights were dropped between Saturday and Sunday with another 164 due to be cut through Wednesday.

Mr O'Leary said most people would still be able to fly on the same day.

Ryanair has the form on its website you need to fill-in. Your flight is operating as usual unless you receive an email. Be sure to document what you spend, though and keep receipts.
Passengers affected by the Ryanair's cancellations will be entitled to compensation.
THE majority of standard travel insurance policies won't cover you for flight cancellations and other costs.
"It is clearly a mess", Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary acknowledged on Sky News after angry passenger comments across social networks.

Nissan Leaf Comes With More Tech, More Power in Less Money
That Leaf is expected to have a 60 kWh battery, same as the Bolt's, which should be enough for a range of well over 200 miles. The system does require drivers to keep their hands on the wheel and it is not and should not be considered fully autonomous.
