But how much they win or lose depends on the betting odds for the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, which have changed dramatically since they were first recorded.

In what is touted to be the richest fight of the century, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather will take on mixed martial arts superstar Conor McGregor to show the world who's the boss.

Stephen Espinoza, the head of cable network Showtime Sports which is selling the fight in the U.S., said surveys had shown that fans were not bothered by predictions of a one-sided bout.

Fight Time: Coverage begins at 6 p.m. ET on Showtime PPV, with Mayweather-McGregor scheduled to start at 11:55 p.m. ET.

A little over two months after the fight was confirmed in June, Mayweather and McGregor will touch gloves at Las Vegas's T-Mobile Arena in a 12-round boxing contest which will be beamed to more than 200 countries and territories.

McGregor has looked scared in Las Vegas, and understandably so.

Oxford University employee and United States professor charged with Chicago murder
Lathem, a professor at Northwestern University in Evanston, was sacked after the allegations, according to the Chicago Tribune . It is not clear why they did not carry out their alleged plan to kill themselves, or whether there were any other victims.

Now that the fight is at hand and McGregor has ensured prize money that should exceed $100 million, everything that follows the opening bell will be about how to spin this forward.

But while McGregor, a long-odds underdog, has attracted most wagers, the majority of the money is on Mayweather.

"The casual fans were absolutely adamant", Espinoza said.

"I know that I'm in for a tough fight but there is one thing I do know, this fight is not going the distance". However, due to McGregor's part in the promotion for the fight and possible pay-per-view buy payouts, his final salary is expected to be more than $100 million.

McGregor can be seen making a face of aggression, a now classic McGregor trait.

Mayweather revealed he had heard McGregor was using IV bags and that he was in line to weigh in over the 154-pound limit. "I'm going to breeze through him, trust me on that". While McGregor is entering uncharted territory for him, he's confident as ever to knock the undefeated Mayweather out. Byrd is a veteran referee who has only ever worked one Mayweather fight in the past, a decision win over Robert Guerrero in May 2013. "Mark my words - I'm not anxious about the scales".
