FLUSHING NY- AUGUST 16 New York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka in the dugout prior to the Major League Baseball game between the New York Mets and the New York Yankees

Once Detroit slugger Miguel Cabrera wrestled NY catcher Austin Romine to the ground at home plate, an afternoon game at Comerica Park collapsed into total chaos. Cabrera didn't react overmuch to the pitch behind him from Tommy Kahnle, but a brief exchange with Romine appeared to set off the future Hall of Famer.

When play restarted, both Cabrera and Romine had been ejected.

Rockies 3, Royals 2 • Pat Valaika hit a two-run homer with two out in the eighth inning and Greg Holland finished for his 36th save ito snap Colorado's four-game losing streak with a win in Kansas City.

Tigers cleanup hitter and 11-time All-Star Miguel Cabrera and Yankees catcher Austin Romine were tossed after a benches-clearing brawl during the sixth inning.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Fulmer hit Sanchez intentionally.

Dellin Betances, who hit Tigers catcher James McCann in the head with a fastball in the seventh inning, was not fined or suspended.

Two men, a 51 year old and his 17 year old son, were arrested and appeared in court on Sunday. However, once police found the stash of drugs and the cash, they were taken into custody.

And finally, you have the only other catcher on the Yankees 25 man roster, Austin Romine, the direct engagee with Cabrera. Tigers manager Brad Ausmus was also ejected.

With the Yankees ace back and coming off a solid return to the rotation against the Tigers in Detroit, all eyes will be on how the 29-year-old pitches the rest of the year-and how it impacts a looming contract decision.

"I think I still got him by two feet", Judge said. I tried to say something to you like calm down. He delivered a single that scored Gardner to cap the Yankees' three-run rally and tie the score at 6-6 in the seventh. The umpires didn't immediately eject Betances, but they did after a conference.

The duo were ejected for the scrap, with both teams getting into it. Sanchez looked to have landed an unexpected punch during the brawl, but the umpires missed it and thus he wasn't ejected.

The Tigers apparently weren't done there, because TV cameras also caught Tigers teammates Justin Verlander and Victor Martinez bickering in the dugout, which ended with Martinez having to be restrained because he wanted to go after Verlander.

Ray (10-5), who sustained a concussion when he was hit in the head by a 108 miles per hour line drive in his previous start July 28, allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out nine. For that, Betances and acting Yankees manager Rob Thompson were ejected.
