Once Detroit slugger Miguel Cabrera wrestled NY catcher Austin Romine to the ground at home plate, an afternoon game at Comerica Park collapsed into total chaos. Cabrera didn't react overmuch to the pitch behind him from Tommy Kahnle, but a brief exchange with Romine appeared to set off the future Hall of Famer.
When play restarted, both Cabrera and Romine had been ejected.
