The mode is expected to debut next week at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

With no full theatrical trailer released yet for Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Force Friday II under two weeks away, Star Wars fans are hungry to any new details they can get about the sequel hitting theaters in December.

The space fights for Battlefront II are being made by Criterion - the same developer who created the first Battlefront's side title, Rogue One VR mission, which rolled out previous year.

The new game mode basically results in a huge 24-player battle in space.

We then get some clips showing one of the most requested features for Star Wars: Battlefront 2: The Clone Wars. Amid the high-octane battle was Yoda in a starfighter of his own. In the trailer, we get to see a Republic era Y-Wing, which looks to be the original design compared to the Rebel Y-Wings we see in A New Hope. Other EA-owned studios DICE and Motive are also working on the game. As per reports, an open beta version of the game will make its way to the devices in October. The visuals and sounds accurately represented what Star Wars is.

EA will host a live demonstration of Battlefront II's Starfighter Assault trailer, the gameplay mode, during Gamescom tomorrow August 21. As per the story goes in the trailer, you were on Endor when the second Death Star blew up and you must now rise from the ashes of the fallen Empire.
