Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched its flagship for the year, the Moto Z2 Force with a shatterproof display technology.
The Moto Z2 Force will be available in the United Kingdom later in the year, but no pricing details have yet been announced. It will be available in fine gold, super black and lunar grey color variants.
All battery life claims are approximate and based on a standard mixed use profile.
As its name suggests, the Moto Z Force is tough. That came true with a 5.5-inch Quad HD POLED display with ShatterShield, a special layer for protection that makes it a rigid device.
Motorola's gen-next "Force" device retains all that made it special past year, and brings forward many improvements to the hardware. According to a recent report, the dual rear cameras will come with a combination of 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors.
Also featured are a fingerprint sensor for security and Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz with MIMO connectivity options. The phone will be backed by a 3GB of RAM, the listing further reveals.
The Moto Z2 Force Edition will hit availability in the US on August 10 via US Cellular, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint.
The Moto Z2 Force has two variants, ie a 4GBRAM with 64GB internal memory and 6GB RAM with 128GB internal memory.
Motorola has also announced a new Moto 360 CameraMoto Mod which can capture 4K 360-degree video alongside 3D audio. Moto Z2 Force starts at $799.
This follows hot on the heels of June's global announcement of the Moto Z Play and a collection of new Moto Mods, including a GamePad, the JBL 2 SoundBoost, a wireless charging shell and a Mod offering TurboPower charging. It will roll out in Mexico, Brazil, various European countries, the Middle East, and Africa later this summer. The new Mod snaps on magnetically to the phone, featuring two 13-megapixel cameras on the front and rear.
In the single-core test, the alleged Moto X4 got 824 points while in the multi-core testing the device has acquired 3886 points.
