Stan Wawrinka: 'Hopefully Djokovic can find his tennis soon!'

French Open up for grabs for women; Murray, top men in QF

Three-time grand slam victor Murray fought back from a set down to beat eighth seed Nishikori of Japan 2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-0), 6-1 and seal a semi-final spot at Roland Garros for the fourth successive year.

Nishikori, who beat Murray in the quarter-finals of last year's U.S. Open, could not sustain his early form and despite courageously forcing a third-set tiebreak he lost that 7-0.

The body language of Nishikori, who has never reached the last four of the French, hardly looked promising after that and Murray marched on to his 21st grand slam semi-final.

Even so, Murray indicated more will be needed to record a second straight French Open semi-final victory over the red-hot Wawrinka, who has not lost a set in reaching the final four for the third straight year.

A fired-up Murray duly reeled off five games in succession to win the set and level the match, but the Wimbledon champion did not feel his run-in with the official had a huge influence.

Paris - Tennis legends John McEnroe and Goran Ivanisevic reckon Andy Murray has a good chance of making the final at Roland Garros.

The fourth-seeded Nadal, a nine-time champion at Roland Garros, was leading 6-2, 2-0 when Carreno Busta stopped.

He clinched victory on his first match point when Nishikori failed to return a powerful serve.

No reason to fire special counsel: US Justice Dept
Mueller's law firm, WilmerHale, has represented Trump's former campaign manager and also some Trump family members. Ryan said the smartest thing for the president to do would be to let the investigation continue and be vindicated.

"I couldn't do anything first set but I tried to play a little more heavy and a little more aggressive sometimes, and start working a little bit better", Nishikori said.

"I don't know how I came back", said Halep.

Murray, who was runner-up to Novak Djokovic at Roland Garros past year, will meet 2015 champion Stan Wawrinka for a spot in Sunday's final. But the fact that Thiem took that set and start to be a little bit more confidence and going a little bit more for his shot, he killed the match.

World No. 1 Murray was sanctioned by umpire Carlos Ramos for taking too long between serves, after he caught his ball toss at deuce during the third game of the second set. He scorched Marin Cilic to become the oldest Roland Garros men's singles semifinalist since 1985.

Murray said: "Obviously for a couple of points after that I was sacked up, because I was frustrated at that moment. I'm very happy to win today". I don't think he was as far away as people were saying.

'Hopefully I can take advantage of that and find solutions to beat him'.

Nishikori also made the last eight in Paris in 2015 when he fell to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in five sets.
