Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinpingmet in Astana on Friday on the sidelines of the SCO summit, seen as an effort to fix ties hit by growing differences between the two countries over a host of issues including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and NSG.
"I look forward to deepening India's association with the SCO, which will help strengthen cooperation in economy, connectivity, counterterrorism, etc", said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Will have to make coordinated efforts to counter the menace of terrorism", PM Modi said at the meet.
India on Friday became a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), ending an administrative process that began two years ago. The Prime Minister said India's SCO membership will certainly take cooperation among member states to new heights.
