Vijay Mallya drops in at Virat's dinner, Team India hotfoots it home

Intend to attend all Champions Trophy games to cheer Indian team, says Vijay Mallya

Vijay Mallya mocks media vows to attend all team India matches at 2017 ICC Champions Trophy in England

Vijay Mallya attended a charity ball hosted by Virat Kohli at London for Justice and Care organisation.

In the tweet, Mallya also took on the Indian media for "sensational" coverage.

Mallya, who is wanted in India for defaulting on bank loans, was earlier spotted at the India vs Pakistan match in Edgbaston on 4 June. "I intend to attend all games to cheer the India team", tweeted Mallya.

The 61-year-old's defunct Kingfisher Airlines owes more than Rs. 9,000 crore to various banks across India.

The Liquor baron was caught on cameras quite a number of times on TV and social media had buzz over the pictures of Mallya watching the match yesterday.

Sources said the appearance of the liquor baron, who India is trying to extradite from the United Kingdom, caused embarrassment to the Indian team including the captain, who had arranged the star-studded bash to raise money for his foundation.

Mourinho names Man Utd's youngest ever Premier League line-up
The Manchester United star netted for the first time since his father passed away in the 2-0 win over the Eagles. That's what I am going to have in my mind.

The troubled financier, who co-owns Formula One team Force India, was arrested in London in April following an extradition request from India and granted bail.

What is interesting that Vijay Mallya used to be the owner of Royal Challengers Bangalore captained by Virat Kohli.

According to a BCCI source, due to Mallya's presence, Kohli and the Indian team were "uncomfortable".

While one concedes he did not gatecrash the charity dinner given by Virat Kohli's foundation in London and was a guest of one of those people who had bought a table, plain common sense indicates you should avoid being a pest. "Similarly, someone who bought a table must have invited him", a top BCCI source who was present at the event, was quoted as saying to PTI. The absconding businessman was once again seen attending Virat Kohli's charity ball as well.

"His presence creates a very uncomfortable situation for the cricketers", said a source.
