Reputable Apple analyst KGI Ming-Chi Kuo has also weighed in today, reporting that mass production of the OLED iPhone will likely be pushed back to October/November, instead of the normal August/September timeframe for new iPhone launches.
"Production ramp up of OLED iPhone could be delayed to October-November (previously estimated to be August-September, as in previous years)", Kuo's reportsreads. "Sever supply shortages" may continue for some time and could cap overall shipments of units of the tenth anniversary iPhone in the latter part of 2017. Other than Apple pushing the iPhone launch schedule from summer to fall for the iPhone 4S in 2011 (which technically wasn't a delay), a major new version of the iPhone was never very late. He suggests that most people will be willing to wait for it to be available, even if this means holding off their upgrade cycle until early next year. The metal edges house the buttons just as they are on current iPhone models, but the power button does seem to be a bit more elongated.
The phone also looks to be visibly fatter than the existing iPhone 7, although exact dimensions have yet to be revealed.
According to rumors so far, the iPhone 8 may come with a 3D sensing front camera, support for wireless charging, and a 5.8-inch OLED front panel with 521ppi pixel density.
'Happy Days' Star Erin Moran Likely Died From Cancer

It is, however, expected that the delay in iPhone 8 will not affect new lower-end editions as they will not feature new screens and will largely resemble the exterior design of the past three iPhone models, the report added.
The leaks are not confirmed, so no conclusions can be firmly made till we see Tim Cook on the state with the new iPhone 8 in his hand.
The analyst continued to predict that Apple will probably sell around 80 to 90 million units of the new upcoming iPhones in the second half of 2017.
He also published what he claims is a leaked schematic diagram showing what components will sit underneath the screen of the iPhone 8. The 8 is rumored to house a 3D camera as well, and will make use of Samsung's curved OLED technology. The accuracy of these renderings is not yet clear as it has always been rumored that the new iPhone 8 will include a fingerprint sensor located below the display.
